acoustics: acoustical cotton up close
The acoustic properties of a space will either work for you or against you and your business. Early on we figured out that a sound system is limited and perhaps greatly effected by the room within which it's placed or installed so we began thinking about and addressing acoustical room issues. In our quest for better sound we've been developing different ways to get the most out of a variety of spaces while keeping an eye and ear toward the look, cost and environmental impact involved. Working in recording studios and on a number of up-scale restaurants in California and Tokyo also helped shape our tolerance toward noisy, distracting, irritating and unpleasant environments. One of our proudest accomplishments is the "acoustical cotton panel" developed in 2008 (pictured above). Made from 100% recycled - class A fire rated cotton and a cost effective metal mesh, these unique "environmentally friendly" panels are available in a number of configurations and colors.
